Exec: Russia’s Rosatom ready to build nuclear facilities in UK
MOSCOW, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom is ready to take part in construction of new nuclear power facilities in the U.K., Deputy CEO Kirill Komarov said at a briefing late Monday.
“We still keep interest in participating in the U.K. nuclear program,” he said.
If Rosatom receives the same preferences as foreign firms currently participating in the U.K. nuclear construction, it is ready to license its technologies, take part in projects to build new nuclear facilities and invest in them, Komarov said.
Rosatom is also ready to assist Indonesia with construction of its first nuclear plant if the country’s government makes a decision to implement the project, Komarov also said.
“If the Indonesian government makes a decision to build a plant, Rosatom is ready to act as a partner with a whole range of its technologies,” he said.
Rosatom will never change a course of its foreign projects to solve some hypothetic problems in relations with foreign partners, Komarov also said.
